The Rob Roy Hotel, one of KwaZulu-Natal’s best known landmarks, has been transformed into one of the finest retirement lifestyle villages in South Africa. Still clearly identifiable are the distinctive tower turret and the original baronial hall style of architecture, which have been retained and carried forward into a brand new wing. The end result can only be described as spectacular.
The retention of the name Rob Roy motivated the developers to name the various areas within the village after people and places closely related to Rob Roy. Donald Glas is the new addition to the ground. This 5-storey west wing contains 25 luxury retirement apartments looking out over the Valley of 1000 Hills and Inanda Dam.
It was built by Grid Construction, commencing early February 2012 and was completed by mid December 2012.
