WINNER: G2 CONSTRUCTION PTY LTD - 22 OLD MAIN OFFICE PARK
The complexity and challenges on this building were the foundation issues and high end finishing which is unusual in office parks and the large span open truss that had to be self-manufactured on-site. Nominated Subcontractors posed a challenge as we had to make sure the right productions and quality was achieved. The methodology was based on cost effectiveness without compromising program, quality or safety.
With off shutter concrete, concrete sanded floors, open handmade trusses, a floating staircase and a number of cantilevered sections using nominated and our own subcontractors care had to be taken every step of the way to deliver the final product as seen today.
The contract required minimal plant for the building side as scaffolding was used to get to the higher levels and a crane was only brought on briefly for the open truss and roof, larger plant as also used at the end of the contract to construct the parking area.
