The scope of work on this project was to construct a new retail showroom within the CDB of Pietermaritzburg. The first part of the project was earthworks that had extensive sub-base layers to fill and compact. The foundations were conventional strip footings with column bases. The steel structure has IBR Chromodek roof sheeting as a roof. The walls are semi-face brick externally with a single plaster and paint internal finish. The front of the building has a feature Hulabond Facade facia with a combination of paving and tar exterior. The interior of the building is a concrete surface bed with a tiled finish.
