This project was of an intricate nature with an exceptionally critical design team and client.

The building is fitted with state of the art equipment which included a Patients Lift, a first of a kind in South Africa. The patient lift had great challenges, Integrating ceilings and other installations.

The ceilings were designed to be as high as possible. Ceilings and Joinery were all custom designed and built to create the final product, with sunk-in bulkheads and feature lighting.

 

Liviero Building (Pty) Ltd Ahmed Al-Kadi Private Hospital

The Ahmed Al-Kadi Private Hospital is a 164-bed hospital situated in the Mayville region of Durban. The hospital will promote an Islamic ethos (definition) that promotes the rights and respect of all patients and will serve all patients irrespective of race or religion. The hospital design incorporates concepts of Islamic architecture such as water features, screens, arches and domes. Screens will provide privacy and ventilation, serve as a dust filter and most of all use natural light to create reflective patterns. The finishes are of a high class nature creating almost a 5 star hotel feel rather than a hospital.

 

P & G Construction Medical Pavilion Phase 2

After the successful construction and completion of Medical Pavilion Phase 1, Medical Pavilion Phase 2 began in April 2016 and was completed in December 2016. Medical Pavilion Phase 2 consists of Netcare – Specialist Suites, Dental Surgeon - Scottburgh Aesthetics & Dental, Ampath Laboratories, Toti Dental Laboratory, Dr. CJ Botha – Urgent Care and the Scottburgh Coffee Lounge. Special features in this building include a 3-level limited motion ability lift, a 3-level staircase, a glass lift shaft, and fresh air systems in the Urgent Care Medical suites. Solar panels have been added to the phase 1 building which currently powers up both phase 1 and 2 of the Medical Pavilion, this makes Medical Pavilion a 95% green powered building. The finishes on the dwelling compliment the ‘green’ surroundings.
