3-D Security is a new method of security that refers to three domains involved in the security of a credit card transaction. These are:
- The Acquiring or Merchant’s bank,
- The Card Association’s financial networks ie: MasterCard and Visa,
- The Issuing or Cardholder’s bank
After you enter your credit card details in our online store, a new window will appear requesting your personal security code. Your financial institution will authenticate the transaction within seconds, as well as confirm that you are the individual making the purchase.
If your card is not registered with 3-D Security, you will need to activate the feature first before transacting on the Master Builders Online Store. More and more online stores are making this extra security code compulsory and we encourage you to register soon.
