The Association had to institute disciplinary action against two members. This was due to complaints lodged by members of the public. The disciplinary action was deemed to necessary due to the two members failing to adhere to the Clause 9 of the Associations Constitution.

The Disciplinary Procedure took place as per Annexure C of the Constitution. The Disciplinary Committee found both members guilty as charged and the sanction was in terms of Clause 10.1 which states the following:

“Clause 10.1.   Expel such Member from the Association”

In addition, the Executive Council on the 30 May 2017 took the decision to inform our membership of the names of the members expelled from the Association as provided for in Clause 27.3.

Clause 27.3 of the KwaZulu-Natal Master Builders & Allied Industries Association Constitution states the following:

“Upon the finalisation of the Disciplinary Procedure, the Executive Director shall forthwith advise all other Members of the Association of the outcome of the Disciplinary Procedure and the Disciplinary Action imposed and may also publicise this information to any other person or public at large.”

The following two members have been expelled from the Association:
