This year’s Master Builders KwaZulu-Natal Durban Golf Day was held on Friday 14 July 2017 at one of Durban’s premier golfing venues, the picturesque Mount Edgecombe Country Club. With a full field taking to the fairways as well as having marketing partners on all 18 holes, we were somewhat relieved to see the sun come out, as rain had threatened the entire week leading up to the event. Albeit that the rain was kind enough to stay away, a day that started out with pristine conditions for golf brought with it gusting winds in the afternoon and conditions did become challenging. 

It seems that whenever the wind blows during our annual golf day events there are those who rise to the challenge and some excellent rounds were recorded. The winning score was an impressive 98.

The event was enjoyed by all who participated and we were once again fortunate to have several Marketing Partners involved who contributed greatly to the success of the event. We wish to acknowledge and thank the following:

Doka the formwork experts who put up a prize of R100 000 for a hole in one on the 9th, were unable to award that prize. Reece van Straaten of Industrial Linings came closest. 

Builders once again embraced the event by involving 8 of their stores, co-sponsoring goodie bags, entering two teams and providing prizes. As special thanks goes to Builders Riverhorse Valley who saw to it that players from the winning 4-Ball, all received an ALVA gas braai worth over R4000.
