Water Crisis – Call for Collective Action

Western Cape is experiencing a severe drought due to poor rainfall with low water levels in dams and reservoirs. There are severe water restrictions with reports that “Day Zero” is fast approaching in April this year.

“Day Zero” will impact heavily on the entire country and as such citizens, companies and organisations must come together in a call for collective action to manage the crisis.


Master Builders KwaZulu-Natal will run a water relief campaign from 1 February 2018 until 15 March 2018 as follows:

  • Members and the public are urged to donate bottled water by dropping it off at any of our Master Builders KwaZulu-Natal offices in the province: Westville, Empangeni, Shelly Beach, Pietermaritzburg and Newcastle.
  • The bottled water will be channelled to Master Builders Western Cape for distribution.
  • For health and safety reasons only sealed bottled water will be accepted.
