Occupational Health and Safety Act, ACT 85 of 1993, Guidelines for Driven Machinery Regulations, 2015

This document consists of explanatory notes on the implications and application of the more important regulations concerning Driven Machinery Regulations. The notes are meant to help and guide suppliers, contractors, service providers, competent persons and users of driven machinery.

The Driven Machinery Regulations were published on 24 June 2015 in Government Gazette No.38905 with the aim of protecting employees against the dangers associated with the use of Driven Machinery. The aim of these guidance notes is to explain in simple language the provisions of the Machinery Regulations and to stress the principle of self-regulation.
