South African Maritime Safety Authority (SAMSA) Medical

 

The Master Builders Occupational Health Clinic is now registered with SAMSA to conduct medicals for all types of seafarers:

  • Skippers
  • Yachtsman
  • Deckhands
  • Cruise ship crews e.g. MSC Cruise Liners
  • Divers

The Merchant Shipping Regulations require that the determination of fitness for seafarers shall be in accordance with the Guidelines published in the South African Maritime Safety Authority Cde.

These guidelines must  therefore be applied to all seafarers being assessed for service on seagoing ships.
