This building comprises a concrete structure, load bearing brickwork on the upper level supporting portion of the concrete ring beam, exposed tubular steel structure with semi circular curved sheeting, brick infill with facebrick and plastered panels externally. It includes a retaining wall constructed of two outer skins of brickwork with a reinforced concrete core and waterproofed with backfill behind from ground to 1st floor level due to the sloping nature of the site.
Internally finishes comprised floors covered with tiling and carpeting, plastered and painted walls and ceilings comprising plastered and painted suspended ceiling grid and drop in tiles and a feature curved ceiling to the library section.
The Media Centre section of this building is linked to the existing school building by means of a bridge and paraplegic ramp.
